Home Helps was started in 2007 and focuses on serving the local community. Home Helps provides repair and maintenance services for low-income older adult, single parent and disabled homeowners.
Our Home Helps ministry serves York County, Pennsylvania. Our primary goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ of everyone we come in contact with through home maintenance and repair. Our focus is addressing the critical health and safety needs within the homes of families that have nowhere else to turn by empowering a workforce of local volunteers. We are always looking for ways to help with other needs as they become apparent to us so we can build relationships, lift the spirits of others, restore hope in their lives, and bring everyone closer to Christ.
We accomplish this local mission via weekly Tuesday and Thursday project teams, various work camps, and other opportunities. Let us know if you want to join us in serving God by loving others!
Weekly Project Teams
A group of volunteers (12-20) meet at Round the Clock Diner East. Spend time in fellowship, enjoy breakfast together and do a devotion before heading to the projects for the day. Pack a lunch as we will stop around noon and eat together. (A lot of time the homeowner will join us) We typically wrap up around 3pm. But we are flexible to the volunteers schedule.
Very similar to the Tuesday but, this team is much smaller 3-5. Currently we meet directly onsite for a short debriefing and devotion.
Our Upcoming Work Camps:
Faith Beyond the Pews: June 7-11 Red Lion/South East York County
York City Work Camp: July 5-9 Primarily York City and into North West and South West York County
North East Work Camp: July 26-30 North East York County
