Home Helps Ministry

Home Helps was started in 2007 and focuses on serving the local community. Home Helps provides repair and maintenance services for low-income older adult, single parent and disabled homeowners.

Home Helps volunteers serve together to build wheelchair ramps for mobility and freedom; replace rotting staircases, drywall, ceilings, doors, windows and flooring for a safe and healthy home; install ADA compliant showers and bathrooms; caulk windows and doors; paint both the interior and exterior of the home; provide minor plumbing and electrical work; and perform property maintenance.

If you're interested in volunteering with Home Helps, please contact Alisha at 717-378-0336.

Home Helps Summer

Work Camps

Home Helps has four York County Work Camps each year and participates in Lancaster County's Go Beyond week of Service.  The camps are designed to repair homes that have significant need.

Go Beyond - TBD 2020

Faith Beyond the Pews - TBD 2020

Home Helps York City Work Camp - TBD 2020

Home Helps Northeast Work Camp - TBD 2020

Homeowners and communities are seeing the hands and feet of Christ at work while home maintenance and repairs are lovingly provided to our brothers and sisters in need. God not only blesses our homeowners during these work camps, but also the volunteers who interact with the homeowner and work side by side serving Christ. Volunteers are able to experience a mission trip in their own communities.

Please prayerfully consider joining Home Helps as we step out in faith to be the “light of Christ” for our homeowners in need.
